For this commercial I wanted to try something a little different than just a motion graphics commercial using stock photos of homes and people. I wanted to give the commercial a stylized look using a 3d home - which I used for the opening title sequence and then for backgrounds with a water colour treatment. Animation was done in Cinema 4D and finished in after effects.

Here is a preview of the fully renovated bathroom for the Bath Solutions commercial. Modeling, animation and rendering done in Cinema 4d. Colour grading and finishing done in After Effects.

Bath Solutions

Well it is 3 in the morning and I'm still working on a new 3D commercial for Bath Solutions. The commercial is completely 3D motion showing an out dated bathroom being renovated. I'm using Cinema 4d 10 for this projects and I think it's time for an upgrade. The flicker and sluggish rendering is started to drive me crazy.

The first image is C4D rendering a sink, the second image is the opening scene finalized in After Effects.

I'll post the final spot once it has been cleared to go to air.

Jesse the Squirrel

Here is a quick eye / expression sheet I put together to test Jesse's character rig. Jesse the Squirrel is one of the lead characters in my series Trent the Racing Turtle. I've always loved working with a characters eyes. There is so much feeling and expression that can be conveyed in just the eyes, that why I like to do these types of test sheets were I only change the eyes to see what I get. Watch for Jesse animations in the near future.

Dial Tax - Banker

Here is a screen shot of Anime Studio Pro, the program I used to animate the characters for the Dial Tax commercial. Pictured is the Banker character, I used a combination of bones and key frames for the animation in the arms and then used the Switch feature (similar to swap in flash) to switch the hands.

Dial Tax - HD

I've begun working on a 15 second HD commercial for Dial Tax. The commercial will feature a poor "average Joe" being bullied by a banker and tax auditor. The average Joe is saved by the heroic "Dial Tax" character who will bust in "fight" to save Joe's money. I'll be posting more work in progress images and the final commercial in the next couple weeks.
